Superman Returns has left Australia. Yes, it is done in the land down under. It returns to America to film the final shots, or something to that effect. You can always check out their official web site, trailer, poster, icons and more.

Superman Returns official web site active

The official web site for Superman Returns is now active. You can check out the video diaries that are on Bluetights.net or you can now just go there and see them for yourselves in a spiffy fashion. Not to mention, they have really nifty wallpaper.

There is a spot that says teaser trailer on it, but it's coming soon, probably when Harry Potter opens, you will be able to see the trailer. Personally I would like to be able to download it, cuz, I'm a Superman fan. The web site can be viewed by clicking the icon.

Did I forget to mention that it became active on my birthday? That's awesome.

Superman Returns back to Australia

That's right. In just a few days, two weeks or so, Superman Returns will start filming again. From what I've read, there is a sequence that needs to be filmed. Suppose to be a major part to the story. Anyway, it's an update.

Yup.

Hey look, I have a new release to tell you about. It's the teaser site for Superman Returns. Just hit the ensignia to be taken to the site. Nothing special so far.

Smallville: Season 4 DVD and the future of Smallville

Ah yes the newest box set of Smallville. Yup.

Let's do a background check:

Note- This is just a background on Smallville seasons, not on the box sets.

Smallville Season 1, ruled.

Smallville Season 2, all right.

Smallville Season 3, sucked. Began to get better at the end.

Smallville Season 4, improved upon season 3. Episodes really got better by seasons end, except one.

Okay, I'll do my rants first.

First off, the dvd selection of extras, I'm not going to watch, because they are dumb. What do I mean? No outtakes, no seein Mr. Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) doing his impersonations or wacky screw ups. Come on, it shows actors are human, and get paid way too much. Shoot, put me in episodes and I'll ask for 5K an episode. 20 episodes, nice chunk of change for me. Movies, whole other price range.

All they have are little extras about who Lois Lane is, talking to the original Lois Lane from the George Reeves' shows, Margot Kidder (Superman movies) and Erica Durance. Now I will say Erica Durance is pretty good. Course she's cute too, so I give extra bonus points, but uh, isn't Smallville about, oh say Clark Kent, not Lois Lane? GaDuh!

The shows, still on the rant, were pretty good, some shows better by the end. They had to use different stories, it felt that hey let's just doing a good job writing up a dumb script and then go with it. People will watch. I'm one of them, I'll watch, I like Superman related material. Taking stuff from movies though, dumb. You will see in one of the later episodes, that I believe two, one in particular was taking it from a movie that came out beginning of this year. When I saw the preview for that, I immediatly thought of that movie. I'm not in to those movies, wasn't really into that show either. It was different than the movie, but based on the movie none the less.

Now I'm done with that.

The way they set up the end with going to the Antartic for the Fortress of Solitude, awesome. They actually flew Tom Welling and crew to the Antartic somewhere, and did the shot of him getting ready to throw the precious Kryptonian stone towards what would be the Fortress of Solitude. Superman: The Movie anyone? Great sequence.

I'm pleased with the season that just happened, it got better than what season 3 left with. Great job by some of the writers. To the other writers, come up with some material. DO NOT take stuff from other movies, unless it is DC comic book related. STUPID.

I give credit to the acting, and look forward to season five.

As for the dvd box set. Eh, it's a box set of show I like. That's about it, nothing superduper about it.

Side note- to all that read this that are Smallville lovers who like Lana and Clark to be together. If you are Superman fans as well, you know that it will be Lois and Clark. To the people that only know Smallville- Clark ends up with Lois, Lana will be his best friend, know his secret and will keep it a secret forever.

Which by the way, Smallville writers need to get a clue on that. I mean look at the Death and Life of Superman comics, it was stated that Lana Lang knows his secret, even that the first season of the animated series of Superman gave Lana Lang the truth of Clark Kent, and they were in high school, which means, they screwed that up in Smallville.

I know Smallville is supposed to be an original take on Clark Kent and his Smallville life, but seriously, it's the DC comic world, use the info that is in it. The Clark Kent/Lex Luthor thing, is fine with me, I don't mind that, but by series, not season, but series end, Lex Luthor has to have a memory something or other done to him, to forget who Clark is, because Lex Luthor didn't know Clark Kent until he came to Metropolis. Smallville however has a good detail on Lex Luthor now becoming who he is intended to be, and getting ready for how Clark will become.

I just want to know when Martha Kent will make the suit. It needs to be done. I know they have a rule on it, but they can make the suit by series end. Shoot they said that Clark Kent wouldn't fly, they did it first episode of season 4, but they said it was Kal-El who flew. Why not just have the blasted S show up for a costume, something.

Graphics are great. Just use it for good, don't do stupid stuff for season five, that's all I care about. Make season five the best yet. From what I've heard, there are going to be seven seasons, as long as the show is doing well. If not, let season five be the best season ever.

These are just my opinions, would love to know what people think and have to say on the future of Smallville.

What I want to see with Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman Season Two

You know, it's fun when a friend reminds you to start adding stuff again. Then you go nuts on what you want to say.

Okay, this time it's L&C New Adventures of Superman Season Two.

The first one was great, you get to see how they look now, all old and wrinkly. Keep that coming, fun fun.

This one, should be dedicated to the guy that played Perry White. He passed away this year.

Two: Maybe an easter egg for the new Superman Returns Comic-Con trailer. I would be happy.

Warner Brothers did a great job adding the First episode of Smallville to the mix of Season One. Not really much I want for the second season.

Just keep it good, make the intro a lot better. If there was anyway to make it wide screen, do it. Probably not, but if a small chance, take the chance.

Commentary is great, but how about some outtakes this time. There were none in the first season, at least I didn't see any.

Maybe when the other ones come out, an explanation on why they started to go down hill. Lack of good stories, or no one cared. I would really like to know. It's out there I said it.

Anyway, I hope this is what people wanted. I'll let people comment on it. Sorry people, no picture, I don't have hello to download pics.

BATMAN BEGINS IS IN THEATRES

It's out. Batman Begins is out in theatres. Let me tell you something. This movie is great. It really dives into the Dark Knight character. Christian Bale is Batman. Christopher Nolan and David Goyer's story for Batman, incredible. It is a two hour and twenty minute show that keeps you interested. If you enjoy the fast pace movie, it isn't for you. It tells a story about Bruce Wayne and then you get to see the change from Bruce Wayne to the Dark Knight. This will be moved also to the pumped and dumped web site. Absolutely brilliant.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman: Season One

It's been awhile since I wrote something on superheroes.

Well, I'm back with a report on the latest DVD release.

Lois & Clark the show on ABC aired in 1993 until 1997. Four years. Two of which sucked.

Anyway, this is the first season of the show. The BEST season of all of them. This show was really more on the humor style of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. There was also the dramatic moments of course.

I was actually excited when I heard it was coming out on DVD. I was really.

The picture quality still lives to its standard. It is full frame version, because that's how it's shown in the day. I wasn't thrilled about that, but hey, if it's all it has, then let it be.

It was a good show none the less, for the first two seasons. Then it slowly filtered into a soap opera esque show.

If you are a Superman fan like myself. You will enjoy the first season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman: Season one.

Besides, Teri Hatcher was the best Lois ever. Hopefully Kate Bosworth will show us she to can be a great Lois Lane.

X-MEN 3

Oh, I get to go in on some Marvel comics now. Now, I only take this as rumor, but it's interesting none the less. The director Matthew Vaughn was going to direct the new X-Men 3.

The entire cast is coming back for the film and Kelsey Grammer as Beast was going to be interesting.

The sad part about it is, Vaughn has (rumor) left X-Men 3 which is due out in theatres May 2006.

Superman Returns

Superman Returns is in LA doing a shoot at Dodger Stadium. For what, pssh, I don't know.

Just because I have a superhero blog, does not mean, I know what is going on.

Want to see some stuff going on, go to BlueTights.net. Great info and video blogs.

Batman Begins

Hey everyone, it's been a long time, since I posted here.

Well, check it out, we are now two weeks away from Christian Nolan and David Goyer's: Batman Begins.

I'll let you know how it is.

Later.

Thursday, April 28, 2005

Batman Begins new date.

Batman Begins will show on June 15th, instead of June 17th. Why? I don't know. No one was against Batman Begins, why not show it two days before hand.

Brandon Routh as Superman

Here it is, the first official pic of Brandon Routh as Superman.

I give Bryan Singer credit having to redo the suit. It has to have changes.

There are minor changes. Mainly the coloring of red, which is more of dark red now. The "S" insignia has been moved up on the chest area. Also, the insignia is actually a plate.

I actually think the plate works. My reasoning, it came from his home world, why should it be stitched on. It's a smart move. People will disagree with me, but that's cool.

Finally, if you look down at the belt, it has the "S" insignia also, compared to the circular part that is seen in comics.

Routh has the physique and the look to pull it off, he does. I am a little concerned, but I need to give Singer faith, because he knows what he is doing. Besides, the way the movie may be shot, the colors actually may help out.

More information can be found at Superman Homepage, Bluetights.net and other web sites.

Batman Begins release (unofficial)

There are rumors, but hey, this could be a good thing as well.

It has been stated at some web sites, only unofficial, I'll wait for the official word, but people want to know.

Batman Begins has been stated to come out on June 17th of this year. However, because of unofficial announcements, some places are stating it will be out:

JUNE 15TH.

That is all.

Superman Returns Update

It has been awhile since I have updated this, because not much has come to pass.

Right now I'm trying to contact Blogger to see how to put a Superman Returns countdown clock on my blog site.

Anyway, that's not the update (sorry John, it isn't).

My update is, filming is done in Tamworth, where they had the Kent farm location. Awesome pics from Bluetights.net. I have read spoilers, some to my displeasure, it was a great spoiler, but it was one of the spoilers, that make you go, AWE, WHY DID I READ THAT?

They are currently shooting in, let me check (check the site), Yes! I have it, it's: Sydney. You can see photos of what Kate Bosworth (Lois Lane) looks like. Some pictures are really bad, so take it with a grain a salt and blame it on the photographer. Some pictures look good of her. I think she will pull it off.

A lot has been done. Honestly great information on Superman including video blogs from Bryan Singer can be checked out at Bluetights.net.

Let me know your thoughts on the process.

Also there is a site that has an unofficial insignia. If it is going to be what it looks like, there are some areas that have been taken off, specifically two, but I'm not going to say where to find it. If you really want to know, go hunting yourself, because if it's unofficial, then I really shouldn't care.

Superman Returns begins

* Alex Ross art
Superman Returns is officially under way. For those fans that have been waiting a decade, such as myself, Bryan Singer has started principal photography.

It is taking place in Tamworth, Australia.

Thoughts on what you would like to see.

Here's the scoop. They will show early days of young Clark on the farm, it's only brief shots. This is not an origin story, just some origin in it. The learning experience from what I've seen, developing the powers, taking hold of what he has and using it in life later on. That's pretty cool.

Superman will make his way back into theatres June 30th. Funny, Superman comics started in June 1938. What a coincidence.

Also, let me know if you want me to stop writing about Superman Returns, because if you go to Bluetights.net you can actually see video blog from the director himself, Bryan Singer on what is going on with the film. If you want me to keep reporting, great, I don't mind. It's why I made this site.

The Flash

Hey Everyone.

You can say it is a rumor going around that Flash is on DC/WB minds. This is what is happening for that.

David Goyer-Blade Trinity/Batman Begins writer is writing up a script for THE FLASH. If Goyer gets the green light to actually make the movie, oh, he will direct, from sites I have read, he will get his star Ryan Reynolds, again rumor to play the part of THE FLASH.

How's that for info.

This will have a comment section

Also note, most superhero art, if not all art I put up here will be from Alex Ross's art web site. Good stuff.

Calling All Superhero Viewers

This is your time.

I decided to listen to the one or two people that actually come to this site.

I wanted your opinion.

Here's the topic: What do you want on this site? Meaning, what superheroes would you like to appear on this site.

I am doing both DC and Marvel, but you have to realize, I won't have information on here about Constantine or Ghost Rider, besides this area.

It's now on to you what superheroes, besides the ones I all ready have do you want me to add. I say this because more movies are coming out such as the FLASH and WONDER WOMAN.

Let the comments section be filled.

No stupid stuff either or it will be deleted by the me.

Batman Begins Game

Teaser Poster from Batman Begins web site. Warner Bros.

The mighty bat is back in an all new movie and video game.

Batman Begins video game will be released day of the movie: June 17, 2005. I have heard.

It's been a long while since I played a Batman game, going back to the eight bit Nintendo days. The original Batman game, where you had to defeat the Joker.

Now Batman is back and ready to take flight on Gotham's villians.

This will be a game based off the movie Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale as the Dark Knight.

Yup, this has a comments section.

I don't know what to expect honestly of this game. All I know is, the game uses the voices of the people in the movie. Well, I hope so anyway.

SUPERMAN RETURNS SE DVD

* Picture done by Alex Ross.

This was quick to come out. Not only is this movie coming out in 2006, but they all ready have it as a Special Edition coming out Christmas of 2006. The Christmas 2006 is still rumor.

Superman Returns has, from what I know, all ready got the green light for a SE DVD for Christmas.

Ludovico Technique have been announced as the group to help produce the SE of Superman Returns.

How come I haven't heard of any other superhero dvds for SE yet, for the ones coming out this year? That's just sad.

Good luck to the company on making a great SE for "Superman Returns" or whatever the name of it is going to be called.

EA GAMES

Okay,

People may be thinking, "You are talking about EA GAMES, what does EA GAMES have to do with superheroes?" or "EA GAMES is doing something superheroes, let them just stick with what they do best, sports."

Well, to answer both scenarios, yes EA GAMES is doing a superhero video game, it's SUPERMAN. Second, give them a chance, they are the same people that came up with Bond games. Some are good, some well, I won't dive into it.

If you go to their big daddy site Tiburon, you can check out information, along with job opportunities for helping SUPERMAN the game come to life.

Probably the biggest reason I wrote this was to get comments from John and other of my video game buddies. Especially on this.

Superman games have been lacking, seriously in the good games department, last time I played a good SUPERMAN game was when I had the new version of the Sega Genesis, with the Death and Life of Superman. I enjoyed it, but, I never got to finish because there was no save mechanism, that sucked. I was at the last level, and then I had to turn it off. Eight hours gone from my life.

I'm going to give EA a chance, what can it hurt. From what I know, it will be based off the movie. Does that mean we will have the actors doing the voices? I really really hope so. I mean, can you just see Kevin Spacey be all Lex Luthor and hear his voice. Or you see Kevin Spacey and get some campy voice, that would suck.

Now, a few things I would like to see with this game:

Number 1: It needs to be awesome. That just makes sense.

Number 2: It can't be campy, it needs to be detailed through out the whole game. Unique details of Metropolis, from the Daily Planet to Luthor Towers to street corners.

Number 3: If it's going to be like Spider-Man 2, cool, just watch it with the Spider-Man style. Let the dude fly, Spider-Man has to watch himself while falling, if Superman falls to the ground, he won't be hurt, there should be a big dent in the ground. That would be awesome. It's one of the few things I saw on Spider-Man 2, so that's what I remember.

Number 4: It's Superman, if someone shoots him, you better not lose energy.

Number 5: Make the characters look believable. Take the Bryan Singer (yes that's how it's spelled Bryan Singer) approach, "Get ready to believe, again." Make the characters as close to real as possible. It's EA, they do great stuff with character design, especially in their football games (MADDEN and NCAA). I hope Bryan Singer is doing that. It was in Donner's day, "Believe a Man can fly," or something cool like that.

Number 6: Learn from Atari's Superman: Man of Steel game. It was really easy, I beat in what guys, three or four days? Thanks for the game by the way.

Number 7: Learn from Atari's game: Once the game is beat, have the free roam part of the game, where you can fly around. Make the space of the town much much bigger than the Atari game. You could only fly so far. Give Superman all of Metropolis, game systems can handle this. Why I say this, and I know no one will read it from the company. Oh well.

Number 8: Learn from Atari's game: The graphics were cartoonish. Don't do that with this new game. It needs to be somewhere along the lines of Spider-Man and the new Batman Begins game coming out. Only difference, Metropolis is a lot brighter in color, because it's a happy, feel good town, not Gotham.

Number 9: Wow, talk about a lot of stuff. Make the buttons easy to use, especially for XBOX and PS2, I don't care about Gamecube, blah. My friends have XBOX and PS2. Don't make it so many buttons just to get a punch or to fly.

Number 10: Make the movies section, really really good, no stupid movies.

That's it.

John and other friends, post your thoughts.

Jor-El Casted for Superman Returns

Pure rumor at this point.

From what I know right now, from my favorite superhero sites, the casting of Jor-El, Clark Kent's biological father has all ready been cast.

Marlon Brando who portrayed Jor-El for the first two Superman movies has been cast for the new Superman Returns movie. What the rumor is saying is the old Superman film clips of him will be inserted into the new film, or at least, that's my take on the information that I read.

More info go to Latino Review.

Superheroes all by there lonesome.

No, the title isn't a bad thing. It's a good thing.

Just read about the Fantastic Four and the move to July 8th. Great move, why, here's the logic. June 29th, "War of the Worlds" makes it's debut, June 29th. It starts the holiday rush early. It will be in for six days. That's six days for people to see that movie. July 4th was the same time Fantastic Four was going to be shown. Pretty much a good battle, more over Spielberg would wind up winning. I think John would agree with me on that.

Now Fantastic Four moved to July 8th. A column reported that they will not have any competition for the beginning of that weekend. They will be the only new movie thus far for that time period. Meaning, everyone that wanted to see, will have the chance to see it, because all the other shows, including "War of the Worlds," will be at least a week old.

There's that tidbit, now the other. Another superhero movie will get to flap its wings by itself as well. Yeah, Batman Begins which is out June 17th, has no competition either. That means, it can be packed for a long time, specifically until June 29th, why, duh duh duh, "War of the Worlds." Who cares, not me, this is a superhero blog.

Kind of cool to know that Batman Begins and Fantastic Four get to fly solo when they debut on the big screen. Of course things change, anything can happen, but right now, they fly solo.

More on the Fantastic Four go here.

Superhero Composer

Superman V web site has an interview with John Ottman, who will be composing Superman Returns. Before we start, he has done other movies, most recent I know of is X-Men 2.

The site gets into how it may be seen, is John Williams score going to be in the movie and other interesting tid bits.

Why spoil everything, go check out the site. It's long. It's a good article.

Routh Not Superman?

The rumor mill is at it again.

There are rumors being reported that Brandon Routh, who will play Clark Kent/Superman, may infact no longer be those two characters.

Why? Supposedly, WB doesn't think he is doing a good job. Again, this is all rumor.

Who do they have in mind for taking his place: Tom Welling

Shooting is starting in two weeks, why on earth, would they pull Routh out at such a close start on the movie?

I agree with the superhero web sites, I don't believe he has been pulled out. It's just a hoax that someone did, to get this a buzzing, and a buzzing it got.

Read more at: Superman V.

Lois Lane hairstyle

It has been told by superhero sites that Kate Bosworth is going to be ditching her long blonde hair to the hair style of Lois Lane, which is brunette.

Now there are two things that can happen, one, she will wear a wig, as stated at the superhero sites, or two, she will have her hair cut short and actually be brunette.

Either way, she still is going to look good. There is a picture of her done by a web site to show what she could look like. If you want to see the picture head over to Superman V.

Batman Begins Batmobile vs. The Drunk

How many times do you hear this? The Batmobile hits a car. Not to often I bet.

Christian Bale who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman in the new movie from Warner Brothers: Batman Begins spoke at the convention Wonder Con, for Batman Begins. Interesting enough, he talked about the Batmobile and how stunning it is.

He told about how they drove the Batmobile in Chicago instead of putting it on a truck and moving down where they needed to go. People continuously would look at the beast of machine. He noted that there was a drunk person who had a car and he believed that aliens were coming down so he floored his car and hit the Batmobile. I don't know about you, but the Batmobile is made of very strong steel, I wonder who one that battle.

If you would like to know more than this, check the article by clicking here.

Superman: The Animated Series Season One

Okay, I went and bought the animated series of Superman that was made sometime ago.

I do have to say the quality is really good. It tells a good story, one right after the other. There are 18 episodes in the first season. It is a two disc set. The first disc has a design of Superman on it, the other disc is a double sided disc with the other 12 episodes, I believe on there. No design on that disc, since you have to flip the disc.

Highlights, it's easy to navigate, two discs that could have been three, is a plus, a definite advantage. The price was not bad either.

Downside, it's not widescreen format, which I really enjoy. I wish they would get rid of the begin sequence where you have to see the promo trailer everytime, it's dumb, you only need to see it once on all television dvd shows, why do you have to have it every show, you really don't.

I never saw the show when it first came out, because I didn't have cable, I have cable now and still haven't seen the show. After watching, the people that created it, knew what they were doing for the first season. I just wonder if the other seasons are as good. I don't know. I may or may not purchase the other seasons.

I hope you enjoyed my review of Superman: The Animated Series-Season One

X-Men 3

News has been spreading that X-Men will get ready to start filming later this year.

Now here's the interesting part from what I have read, that I will pass along to the people that wanted me to put this information down. I won't name names, but the intials are John.

There is information running about, of course take this with a grain of salt, because that's what I'm doing. It goes into the rumor category. I have seen statements suggesting the X-3 trailer, most likely teaser, will be on Fantastic Four, which comes out in July.

Now people may ask, "uh, if X-3 doesn't have a script, director, or anything else right now, how are we going to have a trailer?"

My answer: If the trailer will exist, it will have scenes from possibly X-Men, more possible, X-2.

For right now, just pretty much walk away from the whole, "hooray X-3 trailer," I don't buy it until I see something OFFICIAL.

Superhero DVDs

Ooh, this is exciting. Well, if you are into the whole Superman thing, like myself.

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from Warner Brothers has just revealed the cover art of season one. Also, the old school, Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves is also due out this year along with L & C.

The cover art is all right. It didn't need the red and blue, with a cartoon like Daily Planet in the background. That's all I'm saying.

To check out the cover art click here.

Superhero info

Just to let people know, this is information that comes from other cool sites.
I'm a superhero fan.
More of the movies than comics, so there's a heads up on that.

Superman

Okay, so this is what I know about right now.

"Superman Returns" is coming out June of 2006. Directed by Bryan Singer. Why people can't spell his name right, I do not understand.

It will star as Clark Kent/Superman- Brandon Routh (Last name sounds like South, only no S but an R)

Lex Luthor-Kevin Spacey. Kevin Spacey has worked with Singer before.

Lois Lane- As of right now the word is Kate Bosworth, but I've only seen that she is in negotiations right now.

"Superman Returns" will be a take on the "Donner Era." I put that because Singer seems to want to have a take based on the first two Superman movies.

More information when it comes in.
